Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a highly motivated scientist to design and validate immunology cell-based assays supporting preclinical data for novel therapeutics. The role involves independent experiment design, data interpretation, and collaboration in a team‑oriented environment.

The candidate will work with primary human/mouse/monkey lymphocytes, utilize multi-parameter flow cytometry, and explore cytokine signaling and transduction pathways.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in biology, molecular and cellular immunology or related field with 2-3 years of work experience.
• Experience in immunology and molecular biology; purification/handling primary human lymphocytes desirable.
• Experience with high-parameter multi-color flow cytometry desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate immunology cell-based functional assays to deliver preclinical data for novel therapeutics.
• Independently design and execute experiments, troubleshoot and interpret data.
• Develop immune functional assays using primary lymphocytes from human, monkey, and mouse.
• Screen and analyze data for protein or small molecule drugs in cell-based assays.
• Adhere to good research practices and maintain rigorous lab notes.
• Investigate cellular signal transduction and cytokine/receptor signaling.
• Perform siRNA gene knockdown and transfection in cell lines and primary cells.
• Present experimental data to senior scientists.
