Job summary

AbbVie Immunology is seeking a scientist to design, execute, and interpret in vitro studies on drug candidate molecules and target validation. Responsibilities include designing experiments with primary human cells and advanced 3D culture systems to advance discovery programs.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with ELISA/ MSD/ HTRF/ PCR, and a collaborative, cross-functional approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Biological science with focus in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology.
• Experience culturing primary human immune cells, cell lines, and organ/tissue cultures including iPSCs.
• Experience developing complex in vitro models (co-culture, 3D systems) for discovery programs.
• Design experiments to study cell signaling, phosphoproteins, and soluble mediator release.
• Strong data analysis skills; proficient in Excel and GraphPad Prism.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform biochemical and cellular studies of drug potency and mechanism of action using primary human blood cells, cell lines, and 3D systems.
• Analyze, interpret and clearly communicate quantitative data.
• Conduct and present oral and written presentations.
• Read and apply relevant scientific literature.
• Maintain accurate and current records of research.
