Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking a Research Technician III in Immunobiology to conduct moderately complex lab experiments, analyze data, and maintain meticulous records. The role supports ongoing innate immunity studies using animal and cell-based models and involves presenting results to the PI and lab meetings.

Ideal candidates will have extensive lab experience, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to adapt protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent, moderately complex lab experiments with minimal supervision.
• Collect and analyze data, and document the results of experiments.
• Assist with experiments of other research staff.
• Apply extensive knowledge of research operations to adapt established protocols, SOPs, and methodologies to fit specific research experiment requirements, and recommend modifications to existing procedures based on observed outcomes and operational needs.
• Use data to prepare reports in a clear and efficient manner for use in grant submissions and publications.
• Present results to PI weekly in one-on-one meetings and periodically in lab meeting.
