Job summary

The University of Arizona’s College of Medicine‑Phoenix is seeking a Research Technician I to join the Department of Basic Medical Sciences. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, able to follow protocols, and capable of clear written and verbal communication.

Prior lab experience is preferred but not required and visa sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities include conducting day-to-day experiments, maintaining records, drafting reports, coordinating supplies, and ensuring

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field preferred.
  • Lab experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sample and lab organization for efficient workflow and accuracy.
  • Perform day-to-day experiments under supervision; assist in basic lab procedures.
  • Record results, observe and interpret data to support study goals.
  • Draft technical reports, protocols, and results summaries.
  • Coordinate ordering and replenishment of lab supplies.
  • Maintain laboratory space and equipment and ensure cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and biosafety regulations.
  • Support data acquisition, entry, and preliminary analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with postdocs, graduate students, and PIs on projects.
