Job summary
University of Arizona is seeking a Researcher/Scientist III in the AEGIS Consortium (College of Medicine, Phoenix). The role focuses on immune aging mechanisms in mice and humans, using cellular immunology, virology, molecular biology or biochemistry approaches.
Ideal candidates will train others and contribute to grant writing while working in a dynamic lab. The position offers full benefits, located in the Greater Phoenix Area, with a 40-hour work week and 1.0 FTE.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; five years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with molecular biology, flow cytometry, or mouse models.
- Ability to train others and collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities
- Create, conceptualize, and execute research initiatives; record results accurately.
- Cross-correlate results and help formulate new hypotheses on immune aging.
- Apply advanced wet-lab techniques to study immune aging and infections.
- Support PI with data analysis, literature reviews, and study planning.
- Train and supervise undergraduate/graduate students and postdocs.
