Job summary

The University of Arizona’s Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies (CAMI) in Downtown Phoenix seeks a Research Technician to support regenerative medicine and transplantation immunology projects. You will conduct pluripotent stem cell and genetic manipulation experiments in a collaborative setting while managing lab orders and coordinating schedules for routine maintenance.

The role emphasizes careful documentation, adherence to protocols, and assistance with animal handling

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required; two years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and mouse handling is preferred.
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, DNA prep) and biochemical assays (ELISA, Western blot) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist design, execution, and analysis of complex experiments.
  • Follow detailed protocols and troubleshoot experimental procedures.
  • Perform molecular biology, biochemical assays, and sterile tissue culture.
  • Maintain detailed notebooks of experimental design and execution.
  • Assist with lab supplies, equipment maintenance, and animal handling as needed.
  • Train colleagues in equipment operation and techniques.
