The Weitz Company is seeking an HR Specialist to support immigration, international transfers, and employee mobility programs. This role collaborates with candidates, managers, relocation vendors, immigration counsel, and the HR team to deliver a smooth, compliant experience.

Based in Des Moines, IA, this full-time position supports immigration processes, recordkeeping, and coordination of case deadlines with leadership. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR, immigration admin, or employee mobility roles.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employment-based immigration processes and visa sponsorship initiation.
• Serve as main contact for immigration-related matters with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate employee relocations and international transfers to/from the United States.
• Maintain immigration records and tracking systems for compliance.
• Monitor work authorization expirations and coordinate renewals.
• Coordinate case prep with HR leadership and immigration counsel.
