Berry Appleman & Leiden in Houston is seeking an Immigration Consultant to support high-volume casework and deliver day-to-day client service. The role reports to Associate or Senior Associate and focuses on case production, client communication, and procedural expertise across immigration processes.

The Consultant serves as a primary client contact, manages filings using established workflows, and performs essential administrative tasks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely progression.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of business immigration experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for routine client communications with timely, professional responses.
• Handle high-volume immigration filings using templates and case management system.
• Perform administrative tasks, scanning, and filing supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure data integrity.
• Use reports and dashboards to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Draft immigration forms and supporting letters for various case types.
• Coordinate with government agencies on case status and RFEs.
• Build foundational knowledge across immigration case types and stay updated on law.
• Escalate operational issues to legal leadership when needed.
• Participate in training and process improvements.
