Fragomen in Pittsburgh is seeking an associate to support corporate foreign national employees through the full lifecycle of non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes. You will develop case strategies, assess eligibility, and prepare petitions for government submission, while maintaining close client contact and ensuring compliance with immigration programs.

The role involves drafting legal documents, conducting research, and resolving escalations.

Qualifications

• The role focuses on supporting corporate foreign national employees through the full lifecycle of non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes.


• Key responsibilities include developing case strategies (researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, triaging initiations), assessing eligibility, and preparing petitions and applications for submission to government agencies.


• Associates are expected to regularly communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy, and to support clients in immigration program management and compliance.


• The position involves drafting legal documents based on established precedents, conducting legal research, and identifying and solving escalations and areas of underperformance.


• The role includes opportunities to directly or indirectly supervise junior associates and other staff, providing mentoring and coaching.


• A specific requirement is for excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents and draft fluent prose without the aid of AI engines.
