Job summary

Fragomen in Detroit, MI, seeks an experienced immigration attorney to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, draft and review documents, counsel clients, and triage new cases efficiently.

You will collaborate with corporate and client mobility teams, assess visa eligibility for foreign national employees, and supervise junior associates while upholding precise writing and communication standards.

Qualifications

• Develop case strategies, including research, drafting, reviewing, client counseling, and triaging initiations.
• Regularly communicate with clients and foreign nationals on procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy.
• Assess eligibility for corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status, and collaborate with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for government agencies.
• Draft and prepare legal documents based on established precedents and conduct research for client requests.
• Directly or indirectly supervise junior Associates and other staff, providing mentoring, coaching, and sharing immigration knowledge.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the aid of AI engines.
