• The role involves developing an expert-level understanding of client bases, industries, firm practice areas, and services.
• Core responsibilities include developing case strategies (researching, drafting, reviewing, client counseling, and triaging initiations) and identifying and resolving escalations or areas of underperformance.
• The Associate supports clients in immigration program management and compliance, assesses eligibility for corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status, and collaborates with client global mobility personnel to prepare government submissions.
• Additional duties involve drafting and preparing legal documents based on established precedents, conducting research, and maintaining proactive communication with clients and foreign nationals within specified protocols.
• The position includes directly or indirectly supervising junior Associates and other staff, providing mentoring and coaching, and proactively sharing immigration knowledge.
• The Associate is expected to implement opportunities for improving quality, efficiency, and standardization, utilize firm technology accurately, and ensure compliance with firm standards and policies.
• A differentiating requirement is an expanded practical understanding of immigration law, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft fluent, grammatically correct prose without the aid of AI engines.
