Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage client assignments as a senior member of the team with minimal supervision.
• Mentor, coach, and provide performance feedback to junior associates and staff.
• Develop complex immigration strategies, conduct research on technical issues, prepare filings and case strategy.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders and communicate complex issues clearly.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities, support business development, and ensure adherence to firm policies and standards.

Overview

• Expected to develop an expert-level understanding of the client base, industries supported, and the firm's practice areas and services.
• Independently oversee and manage assignments with minimal supervision as a senior member of the client team, providing direct or indirect supervision, mentoring, coaching, and performance management to junior Associates and staff.
• Utilize legal precedents for specific client situations, develop creative solutions, research complex technical immigration issues, formulate solutions with appropriate documentation, and independently execute case preparation, filing, and strategy development for complex matters.
• Build, strengthen, and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, proactively communicate with clients within team protocols, and articulate complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Understand the business strategy of the practice area and firm, meet individual and team productivity goals, identify cross-selling opportunities, proactively identify and implement process improvements, and engage in marketing and business development.
• Ensure self and team follow firm protocols for file maintenance, record keeping, system usage (including data quality in Connect), and adhere to documented firm standards and policy for risk mitigation and regulatory, operational, and client compliance.
• Prior team management experience is preferred.
