Job summary

d'strict/Arte Museum is seeking a General Manager for the AMLA venue in Santa Monica. The role oversees media equipment operations for digital content and live events, guiding the team to install, maintain, and operate projectors, audio/visual gear, and exhibition facilities.

The successful candidate will lead system management, coordinate cross‑functional work, and ensure high-quality show experiences, with after-hours work and physical duties expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility and electronic equipment and exhibition facilities maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of video content management systems and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including after-hours/night shifts.
• Food handler card must be obtained prior to employment.
• High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• System Management and Team Coordination: oversee the system team and coordinate tasks.
• Managing overall Audio and Video equipment and facility maintenance: ensure smooth operation and maintenance of equipment and spaces.
• Provide hands-on operational support as needed.
