Job summary

Venesco LLC is seeking a hands-on Proposal Writer to assist with federal proposal development, focusing on task orders under large IDIQ contracts with emphasis on IMIT. You will work with BD and SMEs to craft compliant, compelling content that tells Venesco's story and supports winning proposals.

You will work from Venesco's Chantilly, VA office with the option of working from home 2-days a week after the probationary period. Venesco offers full benefits and a strong performance culture.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience with the full lifecycle of competitive federal proposals.
• Background in IT preferred.
• Ability to develop compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent proposal efforts.
• Writing experience preferred.
• Preferred APMP and/or Shipley certifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and eventually lead and manage, the full lifecycle of competitive federal proposals.
• Collaborate with BD personnel, partners, and subject matter experts to provide proposal leadership, support, and direction and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure win strategy, technical solution, win themes, discriminators, compliance, and clear understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent throughout final proposal documents.
• Oversee/produce schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal kickoffs, technical solution sessions, and color reviews.
• Facilitate proposal reviews and make ongoing recommendations to ensure compliance and increase proposal scorability.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery.
