Job summary

Collectors, located in Santa Ana, CA, seeks an Imaging Systems Engineer II to maintain and develop imaging solutions from deployment to production support. The role is onsite with up to 50% travel.

You will design and test 2D/3D vision systems, calibrate cameras (Keyence, Cognex, LMI), and work with software and operations to deliver high-quality product images that meet brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 1 year with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting machine vision equipment.
• Experience in machine vision with emphasis on hardware selection and imaging software.
• Ability to drive independent projects to completion while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test 2D and 3D vision systems using lighting, optics, cameras, controllers, software and accessories.
• Support setup, calibration, and maintenance of industrial camera systems (Keyence, Cognex, LMI).
• Troubleshoot vision systems to minimize downtime and document parameters of machine vision systems.
• Collaborate with software, operations, and commercial teams to ensure seamless image handoff to customers.
