Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Machine Vision Engineer for manufacturing automation on 2nd shift. You will help design and deploy vision systems for industrial automation and quality inspection.

This role requires hands-on machine vision experience, familiarity with Cognex/Keyence/Basler/Sick platforms, and programming in Python/C++/C#. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production lines and support maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Robotics, or related discipline.
2+ years hands-on experience with machine vision in manufacturing or academic projects.
Exposure to Cognex, Keyence, Basler, or Sick vision platforms.
Foundational programming in Python, C++, or C#.
Basics of optics, camera selection, lighting, and sensor calibration.
Knowledge of vision systems interfacing with PLCs and robotics.

Responsibilities

Design and implement machine vision for industrial automation and quality inspection.
Test, validate, and maintain vision hardware components.
Assist deployment, installation, testing, and commissioning on production lines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and receive mentorship.
Troubleshoot vision system errors and perform root-cause analysis.
Assist in training production staff on operation and maintenance.
