Job summary

Smartsearchonline is seeking an engineer to develop optical and computer vision-based measurement systems for CET products. You will work with Development, Quality, IT, Purchasing and Operations to define, develop and deploy measurement solutions and manage technology transfer to manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on machine vision expertise, a solid foundation in optics, and experience with system integration and data analysis.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine vision and metrology equipment
• Or PhD in one of these fields; training or hands-on vision systems experience required

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and implement optical and computer vision-based measurement systems with cross-functional groups
• Transfer technology from development to manufacturing for product readiness
• Leverage external suppliers for system integration and key technologies
• Design experiments, analyze data and implement improvements to measurement systems
• Create/update machine specifications, procedures and drawings for production release
• Train engineering, maintenance and operations staff on system use and maintenance
• Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting using data and performance analysis
