Job summary

Control System Integrators is seeking an experienced machine-vision engineer to lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and commissioning of industrial vision systems. You will review requirements, propose architectures, and select cameras, lighting, and optics while coordinating with customers and teams.

Expect travel to customer sites for installation and support. The role requires 5+ years in machine vision or related fields, strong optics knowledge, and hands-on experience with 2D/3D

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in machine vision, industrial automation, robotics, computer vision, or related field.
• Proven ability to independently develop and commission machine-vision systems.
• Strong understanding of digital imaging, optics, and machine-vision fundamentals.
• Experience selecting and configuring industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, sensors, and related vision hardware.
• Experience integrating machine-vision systems with PLCs, robots, HMIs, motion systems, or other equipment.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities for testing, installation, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, integration, and commissioning of machine-vision applications.
• Review requirements and determine feasibility, risks, and inspection methodology.
• Define system architecture and select cameras, lighting, optics, and computing hardware.
• Perform optical calculations for FOV, resolution, depth of field, and lighting.
• Develop and validate 2D/3D inspections using vision platforms or libraries.
• Plan feasibility studies and define operating limits of proposed methods.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across optics, lighting, software, and hardware.
• Lead debugging, runoff, installation, commissioning, and production launch.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams on performance, risks, and changes.
• Travel to customer facilities for testing, installation, and support.
