Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology and MRI Tech Aide at St Vincent Regional Hospital to support imaging teams in preparing patients and ensuring comfort and safety during procedures. This PRN (as needed) role focuses on patient care under the direction of technologists and requires strong communication.

The position involves transporting patients, assisting on/off tables, coordinating care, and may include IV insertion on competency.

Responsibilities

• Safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is sensitive to their needs while in their care.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
