Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking staff to support the imaging department by transporting patients, preparing them for procedures and assisting technologists. You will help with post-procedure duties, reports, and nonclinical tasks as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CPR certification; preferred is 1 year in a medical office or imaging setting. Compliance with HIPAA and safety policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent
• Preferred: 1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting
• Knowledge of patient transport and basic medical office workflows is beneficial
• CPR certification is required by policy

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity according to policies
• Assist technologists with preparing patients for procedures
• Perform post-procedural duties including discharge, room clean-up and restocking
• Assist with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging and data entry in EMR systems
• Provide nonclinical support to the department as needed
• Any other duties as assigned
