Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Patient Transport/Imaging Support Associate to move patients, assist with exams, and support staff in a busy imaging department. The role requires preparing patients, maintaining cleanliness, and handling post-procedure tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card application required upon hire.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required within 90 days of hire.
• Understanding of computers and basic software programs.
• EMT, CNA, MA or phlebotomist certification preferred.
• EMT/CNA/MA or related patient care experience preferred.
• 6 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work with infants through elderly adults and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Transport outpatient and inpatient patients to and from the imaging department.
• Communicate extended wait or appointment delays to clinical staff, patients, or caregivers.
• Expedite trauma and critical patients in the imaging department.
• Document patient medical data under supervision of imaging technologists.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures.
• Assist with lifting and transferring patients on and off procedure tables.
• Maintain department, equipment, and patient-care-area cleanliness.
• Assist with post-procedure exam processing and patient monitoring.
• Prepare patient trays and provide minor procedural care as assigned.
• Deliver specimens to appropriate locations.
• Assemble and prepare equipment and exam rooms.
• Perform EKGs as needed.
• Answer, evaluate, and prioritize administrative telephone calls and messages.
• Assist with scheduling, front-desk duties, data collection, and patient information review.
• Use the PACS system to burn CDs and fax reports to physicians.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist with supplies, inventory, and laundry bins.
• Report safety incidents and complete mandatory training per policies.
