Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a transporter to move patients, equipment, and materials throughout the facility. You will also assist with deliveries via the pneumatic tube system and help visitors navigate the hospital.

This role requires confidentiality, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills. CPR certification is preferred but not required, and adherence to HIPAA and privacy policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good oral and written communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients within the facility from initial start location to destination location.
• Delivers equipment/materials and specimens to requesting department, including use of the pneumatic tube system.
• Serves as a hospital ambassador and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Ensures that transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
