Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with independent judgment and initiative. The role includes patient positioning, image quality analysis, contrast administration, and equipment QC in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities cover reviewing orders, educating patients, monitoring status, and adhering to HIPAA and safety standards. A2-year degree or related experience is required; ARRT certification within 6 months and CPR are

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred prior radiology experience.

Responsibilities

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality.
Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patient about procedures and exam.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition.
Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; performs quality control on equipment; reports malfunctions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
