Job summary

Northwell Health seeks an Imaging Services Supervisor to coordinate operations and technologist activities for a modality in its radiology department. You will supervise, hire, train, and evaluate staff, while ensuring quality patient care and adherence to accrediting guidelines.

You will prioritize scheduling, monitor workflow, maintain credentials, and lead performance-improvement initiatives. Strong leadership and knowledge of ACR/DOH standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound Technology program.
• Current NY State Radiology Technologist License AND ARRT registration.
• OR Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in NY State AND ARRT or CNMT registration.
• OR Current RDMS certification for ultrasound (licensure not required).
• 3–5 years of technical experience and 0–2 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Imaging Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
• Leads the activities of assigned Imaging Services team members toward department objectives.
• Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates staff; ensures timely performance appraisals.
• Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operations and inventory.
• Organizes staff toward service line/department goals and monitors workflow changes.
• Maintains staff credentials and continuing education credits.
• Follows guidelines set forth by ACR and DOH; ensures adherence to Quality and Infection Control standards.
• Maintains accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control standards within modality.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and coordinates maintenance; ensures manufacturer compliance.
• Participates in training development for modality and performance improvement practices.
• Acts as a Technologist and responds to emergency calls as necessary.
