Job summary

Middlesex Health is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise and optimize imaging services within the Urgent Care modality. You will oversee daily operations, patient care during imaging procedures, and QA/QC processes while mentoring staff and students.

The role requires ARRT eligibility, a JRCERT-accredited radiography background, and state licensure/eligibility. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with collaboration across clinics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible for CT radiology practice.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in procedures and adherence to health system policies.
• Room patients as Medical Assistant: obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview to identify chief complaints.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and problem solving as needed.
• Perform regular QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance.
• Perform QA checks for each technician; provide coaching and additional training when necessary.
• Address and record any errors or incidents with technicians; liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics.
• Use initiative and teamwork to perform a wide range of imaging procedures; model professional behavior and morale.
• Apply teamwork principles in all patient service aspects.
