Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola seeks a compassionate team member to support radiology patients and assist technologists. In Perdido/Pensacola, FL you will help position patients, verify identities and ensure smooth flow through imaging procedures.

You’ll work day shifts, PRN, in a facility that emphasizes safety, education, and respectful care. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Preferred BLS Provider certification.
• Licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provides appropriate educational material.
• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assists technologists with preparing patient for radiology exam by positioning the patient for the procedure.
• Assists technologists with PACS and EMR documentation on an as needed basis.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs post procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies. Assists with inventory control.

Education

High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education
