Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a patient-focused professional to support radiology services in Pensacola, FL. The role involves patient education, safe transport, and assisting technologists with imaging procedures using PACS/EMR systems.

Day Shift | PRN schedule. You will follow safety guidelines and help with post-procedure tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow and inventory management within the department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of applicable experience may be preferred.
• BLS not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding and provides educational material.
• Transports patients to/from clinical areas and verifies patient identity; assists radiology exam by positioning the patient.
• Assists technologists with PACS and EMR documentation as needed.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs post-procedural duties including discharge, room cleanup and restocking supplies; assists with inventory control.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provides appropriate educational material.
• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assists technologists with preparing patient for radiology exam by positioning the patient for the procedure.
• Assists technologists with picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and electronic medical records (EMR) documentation on an as needed basis.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs post procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies. Assists with inventory control.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
