Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 years previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registers patients for tests/procedure cases in medical imaging.
• Coordinates with departments as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensures accurate patient demographics and insurance authorizations are entered.
• Notifies departments of services requiring equipment, instrumentation, and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled procedures.
