Job summary

Providence Swedish First Hill in Seattle is seeking a Medical Imaging Scheduler to support scheduling for CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Radiology, including ED-generated requests. You will balance multiple tasks and optimize patient flow in a high-volume imaging department.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent healthcare training, with preferred medical terminology certification and experience in insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school with emphasis in healthcare preferred, or six months to one year related experience and/or training in health care related field
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire Medical Terminology Certification or successful completion of a Medical Terminology course
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (i.e. physician's office, scheduler, etc.)
• Experienced in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations
• Medical imaging experience

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient imaging services for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Radiology.
• Schedule all imaging services that are generated through the emergency department.
• Understand optimal patient flow, imaging procedures and requirements for imaging procedures.
