Job summary

Providence Swedish Ballard is hiring a Patient Access Scheduler who coordinates outpatient imaging services including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and bone density tests. You will manage referrals, lab reports and history/physical reports to imaging departments while maximizing productivity for technologists, rooms and radiologists.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities, medical terminology training, and scheduling experience in a radiology

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience required.
• Associate's Degree preferably in medical services.
• Completion of two year vocational program with emphasis on medical services.
• 1 year of medical scheduling experience with a radiology focus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient imaging services including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine.
• Schedule Mammography and bone density tests.
• Distribute referrals, lab reports, and history/physical reports to imaging departments.
• Creatively manipulate schedules to maximize productivity of technologists, rooms, and radiologists.
• Provide excellent communication and problem-solving support.
