Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah, is seeking an Imaging Scheduler to prioritize and schedule patient examinations and provide exam-preparation instructions.

This role handles incoming calls, coordinates with radiology staff and physicians, and coordinates multiple exams while ensuring on-time patient flow and coverage for weekends and holidays.

Candidates should have office data-entry experience and strong customer service; bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience using computers in an office setting or doing data entry.
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Medical terminology or training (preferred)
• Experience in a Radiology setting (preferred)
• Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for examination and gives instructions regarding exam preparation.
• Coordinates emergency and add-on examinations with technical staff and radiologists.
• Prioritizes patient examinations and coordinates multiple examinations with other areas.
• Provides information concerning examination content, pre-examination instructions, and timetables.
• Acts as a liaison between physician offices and department concerning needed preps, medical necessity, information, and problems.
• Answers calls that come into the department and routes them to appropriate personnel.
