Job summary

Complete-Health in Alabama is seeking a polished Referral Coordinator with Imaging Skills to coordinate and process patient referrals and imaging orders efficiently. You will schedule appointments, notify patients, and enter orders into the EMR, tracking reports and collaborating with providers to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

You must maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of related clinical experience with referral and imaging workflows.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and ADP or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on referrals for specialties or diagnostics.
• Enter and verify imaging orders in EMR per provider instructions.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and internal teams with clear information.
• Maintain logs of referrals and imaging orders; record reports in EMR.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to help patients access resources when needed.
• Attend physician/staff meetings; assist in staff education on referral and imaging processes.
• File, copy, and fax referral and imaging authorizations as required.
• Manage time effectively; work under pressure with a calm demeanor.
• Foster harmonious working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.
• Clock in/out daily, including lunch breaks.
• Perform other duties as assigned; adapt to high-volume periods.
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover both referral and imaging orders and ensure coverage.
• Adhere to departmental policies and workflows across markets.
