Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registry eligibility or certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient for understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol.
• Reviews images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality.
• Performs quality control and regulatory-compliant tasks.
• Assists in department operations (inventory, scheduling, equipment).
• Adapts communication and service to the patient population.
