Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with safety protocols. The role includes mentoring juniors, working across facilities as needed, and adapting to a flexible schedule including on-call shifts.

Required is completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or registry eligibility within 90 days, and a current state license plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• No work experience required.
• Radiologic technology experience preferred.
• ARRT registry or registry-eligible within 90 days and temporary state license required.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Independently operate imaging equipment per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Assist in departmental operations and staff scheduling.
