Job summary

Ochsner Health System is looking for an Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with safety protocols. This role mentors junior staff and students while supporting ongoing imaging operations.

The position requires completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or registry eligibility, and an active state license. BLS and a strong patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Strong computer and software usage for radiology information systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintain image quality and complete timely quality control per standards.
• Assist in departmental operations (scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt interactions to diverse patient populations and privacy requirements.
