Job summary

Medicom is hiring an Implementation Specialist to own the technical delivery of our enterprise imaging platform at new customer sites. You will install and configure Connect and ImageX, build DICOM/HL7/FHIR interfaces, and guide customers through configuration, testing, go-live, and network connectivity.

This hands-on, customer-facing role manages 17–25 active projects while supporting 30–40 installs, kickoffs, connection calls, and training sessions each month.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare IT with hands-on PACS/VNA/EHR experience.
• 2+ years configuring and troubleshooting DICOM/HL7 v2 interfaces.
• Strong Windows Server and network troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to manage 15+ concurrent engagements with strong documentation.
• Willingness to support early-morning and occasional evening or overnight go-live windows.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and secure handling of PHI.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and migrate ImageX across Windows Server environments.
• Configure Connect including spaces, permissions, AE titles, routing rules; maintain test/production discipline.
• Build and troubleshoot HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and SSO integrations with EHR teams.
• Diagnose DICOM/HL7/Windows infrastructure issues using logs and tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity: firewalls, ports, VPNs, certificates, DNS, proxies, security.
• Collaborate with PACS vendors, EHRs, and third-party integrators across system boundaries.
• Lead technical kickoffs, status calls, installations, and customer training.
• Develop test plans, track acceptance, support user testing, prepare for production.
