Job summary

Medicom is seeking an Implementation Specialist to deliver the Connect and ImageX enterprise imaging platform at customer sites. You will install, configure, and map DICOM, HL7, and FHIR interfaces, guiding customers through validation, go-live, and go-live support with strong cross-team collaboration.

The role manages 17–25 active projects while supporting 30–40 monthly installs and training sessions, working closely with PM, Support, Engineering, and customer IT teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare IT experience with hands-on responsibility for PACS, VNA, RIS, EHR, or related imaging systems.
• 2+ years of production experience configuring and troubleshooting DICOM and HL7 v2 interfaces; interpret HL7 messages and DICOM associations.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and migrate ImageX across Windows Server and virtual environments, ensuring environments meet infrastructure requirements.
• Configure Connect (Spaces, permissions, DICOM locations, AE titles, routing, site-to-site connections) across test and production environments.
• Build and troubleshoot HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and SSO integrations with customer IT teams.
• Diagnose and resolve DICOM, HL7, and Windows infrastructure issues using logs and tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues (firewalls, ports, VPNs, certificates, DNS, proxies, security).
• Coordinate with PACS, VNA, RIS, EHR vendors and customer IT to resolve cross-system issues and document resolutions.
• Lead technical kickoffs, status calls, installations, and customer training with stakeholders.
• Develop and execute test plans, track acceptance criteria, support UAT, production readiness.
• Lead go-lives and hypercare support during cutovers and go-live windows.
• Support migrations from incumbent image exchange platforms and assist with training adoption.
• Assess onboarding security and connectivity requirements with HIPAA considerations.
• Maintain accurate project records (status, tasks, time, Salesforce, docs).
