Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the department or between buildings using gurneys, wheelchairs, or other assistive devices.
• Assist with patient care items during transport (oxygen canisters, drains, pumps, VACs, drains, DME).
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of transport equipment and ensure availability as needed.
• Communicate with families and staff regarding patient status and information.
• Adhere to safety, quality improvement, and organizational policies.
