Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a patient transport transporter to move patients, specimens, equipment and supplies across the Medical Center, using stretchers and wheelchairs. The role requires careful handling of patients, attention to patient identification and dignity throughout transport.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and locating needed items across departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent work experience.
• CPR Certification (Heart Saver) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and other transport equipment.
• Assist in transferring patients onto/off transport conveyance, ensure correct patient identification and dignity.
• Maintain cleanliness of transport equipment and assist in locating equipment, specimens and supplies.
