Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital while delivering compassionate service. You will transport patients to and from departments such as Medical/Surgical, Diagnostic Imaging, and Rehabilitation, and support various teams with equipment and supplies.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to learn hospital systems, and a dedication to safe patient handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required upon hire.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport inpatients and outpatients within the hospital across departments.
• Deliver and retrieve medical equipment, patient supplies, and other materials as assigned.
• Complete transportation documentation accurately and follow department procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with receptionist duties, scheduling, patient registration, and other clerical tasks as needed during downtime in Diagnostic Imaging and other departments.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
