Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the facility. You will assist with lift assists, help patients enter/exit vehicles, and transport them using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, or neuro chairs to designated locations as requested.

You will also greet patients and staff, deliver equipment, and assist with morgue transports when needed. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS through the American Heart

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (AHA ECARD) within 30 days of hire.
• BLS Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment throughout the facility.
• Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients when needed.
• Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested.
• Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• D delivers equipment to requesting staff or department.
• Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
