Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a radiology support professional to assist patients before exams and coordinate transport between departments. You will use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain pertinent patient information as needed.

You will organize exam rooms, greet patients, answer inquiries, and act as a liaison among physicians, radiologists, and technologists while supporting imaging reports and records management.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in preparation for exams and transport between rooms.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and retrieve patient data.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Greet patients and respond to information requests; schedule appointments and take messages.
• Act as liaison among physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
• Provide radiology reports and images; manage health records and film releases.
• Document observations and communicate needs to the health care team.
• Maintain imaging equipment and conduct routine quality checks.
• Screen and document MRI implants per department needs.
• Care for patients across age groups and follow department policies.
