Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform technical level radiographic examinations under the direction of a Radiologist, supervise assigned radiology area, and ensure high-quality imaging with strict radiation safety practices.

The role requires operation of radiographic equipment, proficiency in patient positioning, and collaboration with Radiologists and physicians. Strong clerical and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years experience as Rad Tech I.
• Experience performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Ability to position patients and operate radiographic equipment."

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic equipment and performs proper anatomic positioning.
• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Consults with Radiologist on requisitions and notes.
• Obtains medications/contrast materials as directed.
• Verifies patient identity and records medical history.
• Prepares and administers contrast media.
• Maintains procedure rooms and supplies.
• Maintains patient records and ensuring correct exam submission.
• Coordinates daily activities and clerical duties.
