Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Radiology Support/Technologist Assistant to assist patients before exams, move them between rooms, and help coordinate care across physicians and technologists. You will operate radiology systems to generate requisitions and manage schedules, while keeping areas clean and stocked.

Responsible for greeting patients, handling routine inquiries, and providing accurate information, with a focus on patient safety and quality care within department policies.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED/HS diploma required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient prep and transport between exam rooms.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions and view schedules.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Greet patients, answer routine questions, and schedule appointments.
• Serve as liaison between physician, radiologist and technologist.
• Provide radiology images/ reports on request; file and release records.
• Document observations and communicate needs to physicians.
• Maintain imaging equipment and perform cleaning/sterilizing.
• Screen and document MRI implants as required.
• Deliver age-appropriate care per department policies.
