Job summary

Henry Community Health Imaging Department is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee daily operations, optimize patient flow, and manage departmental resources with a focus on service quality and safety.

The role involves monitoring radiograph quality, coordinating with radiology staff and physicians, and directing staff schedules. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting day-shift operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical X-ray Technology program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• At least five years as Staff Radiologic Technologist and two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient flow and overall efficiency of the departmental operations.
• Communicates and works closely with other departments for scheduling and services.
• Assists staff technologists with difficult cases.
• Monitors the quality and adequacy of radiographs according to specific standards.
• Consults with radiologists, ordering physicians and nurses regarding changes in exams or patient's condition.
• Oversees use of WINRAD teleradiography system.
• Supervises and instructs Rad Tech students as required.
• Communicates with patients and families as needed.
• Responsible for overseeing day-to-day staff scheduling.
