Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Imaging Supervisor to lead diagnostic imaging operations across the Medical Imaging Department. The role ensures compliance with policies, maintains PACS/RIS systems, and supervises staff to deliver high-quality studies.

Responsible for meeting accreditation standards, HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with Radiologists and management to resolve complex issues. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Applied Science or graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, or MRI.
• Licenses and certifications depend on modality; BCLS certification required.
• 3+ years of technical experience including regulatory and quality control responsibilities; PACS and RIS experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication; demonstrated leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging studies per department protocols and credentials.
• Supervises technical and clerical staff across locations (may be multiple locations/modalities).
• Ensures regulatory compliance, accreditation, and maintenance with HIPAA considerations.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical information and prepares for inspections.
• Coordinates with Radiologists, management, and quality specialists to address issues.
• Uses RIS and PACS according to department guidelines and ensures data integrity.
