HCHCares in New Castle, IN seeks a supervisory Imaging Department leader to oversee daily operations, ensure efficient patient flow, and support Radiologic Technologists. The role includes coordinating with departments, maintaining exam quality, and acting as imaging director in the absence of the director.

You will supervise staff, monitor radiographs for standards, manage WINRAD system, and mentor Rad Tech students, while communicating with patients and families and partnering with physicians

Qualifications

• Complete understanding of anatomy, physiology, physics, radiation protection, principles of radiographic exposure, and radiographic positioning normally acquired through completion of an approved program of Medical X-ray Technology and ARRT registration.

Responsabilités

• Manage patient flow and overall efficiency of the departmental operations.
• Coordinate with Radiologic Technologists and other departments for scheduling and services.
• Assist staff technologists with difficult cases.
• Monitor the quality and adequacy of radiographs according to standards.
• Consult with radiologists, ordering physicians and nurses regarding changes in exams or patient’s condition.
• Oversee use of WINRAD teleradiography system.
• Supervise and instruct Rad Tech students as required.
• Communicate with patients and families as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day staff scheduling.
