Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a System Director of Imaging to lead diagnostic imaging across facilities, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care with regulatory compliance.

The role requires strategic oversight of operations, budgeting, and technology to optimize imaging services and outcomes. Collaboration with physicians and staff across departments is essential to drive improvement and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of imaging leadership or radiology leadership experience.
• ARRT certification and radiologic licensure as applicable by state.
• Experience in budget, policy, and regulatory compliance for imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily operations of the Imaging department to ensure high-quality imaging services.
• Develops goals, policies, and performance standards to support patient care and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
• Oversees quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, and other leaders to optimize imaging services.
• Manages equipment maintenance, vendor collaborations, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors performance metrics and drives improvements in quality, productivity, and finances.
• Oversees imaging information systems (RIS, PACS, EMR) and related technologies.
