Job summary

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Competent in IV insertion and venipuncture.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in preparation for exam and provide basic instruction on routine procedures.
• Transport patients between exam rooms/departments and escort patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Organize and prepare exam rooms and work areas, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
• Greet patients and visitors, respond to routine requests, and schedule appointments.
• Act as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provide radiology reports/images upon request and manage records and film jackets.
• Document information and communicate observations to physicians and care teams.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment as needed.
• Assist with screening and documentation of MRI implants as required.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care based on clinical policies and patient age-specific needs.
