EmergeOrtho is seeking an Imaging Assistant to support the Radiology department across North Carolina locations. You will greet patients, transport them safely, prepare for imaging studies, and ensure proper documentation and insurance authorizations are in place.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a patient‑centered approach in a fast-paced medical office environment. This position emphasizes safety protocols, infection control, and teamwork within a privately

Qualifications

• Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications.
• Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
• Current CPR certification.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience in medical office setting, or other fast paced work setting.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to Radiology department.
• Prepares patients for study by dressing according to safety protocols.
• Completes screening process on all patients prior to study.
• Ensures laboratory results are received as indicated by study requirements.
• Ensures studies have correct orders and insurance authorizations on file; transmits to third party radiology group.
• Uses imaging software to transmit images to third party radiology group for study interpretation.
• Takes stock inventory and orders supplies as directed by Clinical Manager.
• Communicates with outside facilities and third-party participants for records and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains infection control and OSHA compliance.
• Performs other duties as required and may travel to office locations.
